Pioneers in natural wines in Chile, rescuing ancestral traditions with a sustainable approach
Founded in 2003 by Carolina Alvarado and Arturo Herrera in it Marga Marga Valley, Viña Herrera Alvarado is recognized as a pioneer in the production of natural wines in Chile, with a strong heritage and cultural value. Its purpose has been to rescue the local winemaking tradition, revaluing ancestral strains such as Country, Muscat Rosada and Cristal, under a focus artisanal, natural and sustainable.
With barely 1.5 hectares of dry-farmed vineyards, the vineyard develops in a unique terroir influenced by the coastal trough and soils of quartz and clay, factors that give identity and character to its wines. This environment is also located in the middle of the sclerophyllous forest, which enhances biodiversity and gives rise to a project deeply connected with nature.
